Does your child lose things at school?

If you are a parent of school age children, no doubt you probably make several trips a year to your school's lost property collection point.

Items such as hats, blazers, sport shoes and lunch boxes are easy for kids to lose - you just have to take a walk around your local primary school to see how many things don't make it home. If your child loses a few items a year the costs do mount up. There is also the time and effort involved in trying to find a lost item or having to find a replacement.

Managing lost property also places a significant administration burden on schools who have to store and make an effort to find owners of lost property. At the end of the year a typical primary school will have hundreds of unclaimed items that will probably never return to their rightful owner.

Back2me is a unique and simple concept that assists schools and parents to manage lost property.

School Fundraising

Back2me is also a great fundraising opportunity for your school.

For P&C groups who assist us in introducing back2me to their school, we will contribute a proportion of the proceeds to your school fundraising. For an average sized primary school this could contribute around $1,500 that can be used to buy new equipment or to help fund new programmes for the school.

It's a great way to raise funds for the school while also providing a service that will be well received by the school community - much easer to run than a cake stall or BBQ with a similar return!

I want this at my school!

We are starting to introduce back2me to schools in NSW from early in 2011. If you are interested in seeing the system at your school please register interest here so we can move your school up the priority list.

The more registrations of interest we get for a particular school the higher we will move it up the priority list so we encourage you to send the link to as many of your fellow school parents as possible.

Remember if you register interest and take the survey you can be in the running to win an iPod touch!
